Classical music concert season

The classical music concert season will be held for the third year in a row, in the organisation of the Concert Agency G.I.S., in co-operation with the concert agency Artagent from Zagreb with the support of the City Department of Culture, with the most quality programme so far. It opens up on Monday, 15 February with the concert of the Dutch pianist Naum Grubert.

Vjeran Simeonović, Ivanka Persić, Vlado Gašparović and Helena Semion- Tatić The City of Rijeka this year as well, although to a somewhat reduced measure because of recession, continues providing financial support to the concert season project, which aim is to enable on a monthly basis quality classical music concerts. Thus, the concerts will be held in February, March, April and May, and after the summer break, when the city and its surroundings have rich cultural life, the concert season should continue.

The Rijeka audience will have a possibility to enjoy the most quality programme in the last three years. After the concert by the Dutch pianist Naum Grubert that will be held at the Mable Hall of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral, Monday, 15 February at 20:00 h, a concert by the Famous string quartet "Dominant" from Moscow will follow on 15 March, in April a concert by the piano trio Wolfgang David, Erwin Kropfittsch and Miloš Mlejnik, an interesting Austrian and Slovenian combination.

In May, Paolo Bellinati and Cristina Azuma attractive Brazilian guitar duo will present themselves to the Rijeka audience, and the Zagreb soloists with a young cello player with already an enviable career, Stjepan Hauser. In autumn will still follow the performance to be given by the String quartet "Tartini" with the pianist Martina Filjak, and the anniversary concert to be given by the Slovenian pianist of the Croatian origin Dubravka Tomšič-Srebotnjak.
