The competition started immediately after the rain and the southerly wind sirocco, and the reason why it was expected that the competition would be postponed. However, later on in the afternoon as the bora started blowing, the rain stopped and the temperature went down to 5 degrees, the conditions were sufficient to hold this fantastic sports manifestation.

This prestigious competition saw Slovene Nejc Ferjan' s triumph, last year's winner Wojtek Pawlusiak from Poland won the second position, while Slovene Eric Harc was the third. The best classified Croat Vid Barić won the 4th position, the best Croatian result so far at the Carnival Snowboard Session.

The organiser of the Carnival Snowboard Session is the Snowboard club "Nine" from Rijeka, while the City of Rijeka is among its sponsors.
