In addition to the representatives of the Port of Rijeka Authority, the possibilities and projects of the City of Rijeka, were presented by mayor Vojko Obersnel, while tourist possibilities and information by the representatives of the Kvarner County Tourism Office, the Town of Opatija Tourist Board and the City of Rijeka Tourist Board. Further to Rijeka mayor, the mayor of Opatija Ivo Dujmić, also took place at the MCM, who presented the projects of the Town of Opatija.

Within his visit to the USA, Miami and Florida, mayor Obersnel also visited Fort Lauderdale, a city near Miami, similar in size to Rijeka. At Fort Lauderdale he was received by mayor John P. Jack Seiler. Mayor Obersnel gave a presentation about the City of Rijeka before the Councillors of Fort Lauderdale. Further co-operation was agreed and a visit by a delegation of Fort Lauderdale to Rijeka that will be organised by June of the current year as Fort Lauderdale would like to establish friendly relationships with Rijeka.
As the common features of Rijeka and Fort Luaderdal the mayor highlighted the fact that both cities are the port cities that develop urban tourism underlining the importance of sports and cultural manifestations.
In the continuation of his sojourn in the USA, mayor Obersnel will visit San Francisco city administration where he will meet with one of mayor Gavin Newsome's deputies.
