At present, the economic transition of Rijeka, change in its economic structure from a former industrial city into a city dominated by the service sector and an emphasis on the development of the Rijeka traffic route and urban tourism, are visible all around us. The realised investment projects ranging from those relating to traffic infrastructure to entrepreneurial, sports, cultural and entertainment projects, offer both citizens and visitors a new quality of life, as well as a chance for new entrepreneurial activities. Aiming to further transform Rijeka, enhance the quality of urban space, create new recognisable city ambiences and space for the development of economic activities, the investment cycle will continue with the realisation of new projects of traffic and utility infrastructure and the construction of new facilities intended for sports activities and culture.
