The final World Cup race in underwater orienteering “3. Maj” will be held in Croatia for the first time. Lake Lepenice in Fužine offers ideal conditions for this competition. The water in the lake is still warm enough for free diving, and besides the required muddiness, this is a prerequisite for an unhindered holding of the competition. Next to the lake there will be a large tent by the Technical Culture Association from Rijeka, there will be food, and the final ceremony will be held in the rooms of the District of Fužine.
About 150 competitors from 15 European countries have announced their participation, among which some of the best world underwater orienteering clubs. They are clubs from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, where this sport is practiced professionally. Besides the Underwater Activities Club “3. Maj”, there will be other Croatian representatives, such as the club “Mladost” from Medulin.
