Hal's All Star Guitar Festival 2010

This year Rijeka will again become a European guitar-playing metropolis. Starting at 19:30h on Friday, 29 October, the Croatian Cultural Centre at Sušak will feature performances by some of the world's most eminent musicians from Great Britain, Spain and the U.S.A.

Eddie Martin According to the musicians who have so far taken part in this manifestation, the Hal's All Star Guitar Festival has developed into one of the Europe's most elite festivals, and this year's list of musicians guarantees an interesting programme and good entertainment.
This year the festival will bring together musicians like Eddie Martin, one of the most talented British blues guitarists and singers, often praised by British press as the best English blues guitarist after Eric Clapton's appearance. Furthermore, Basque guitarist Balen Lopez de Munain who has put a lot of effort in studying traditional Basque music, so that at his concerts most often we can experience a combination of classical guitar compositions, the author's own compositions and the author's own arrangements of Basque traditional music.
In addition to these two musicians, Keith Thompson Band, one of the best British R&B bands that plays a mixture of blues, soul and rock will also perform. All the band members are experienced studio and session musicians whose services have been used by a number of world music stars.
Muriel Anderson, one of the prime female performers in the guitar world will perform via video-link at the Hal's all Star Guitar Festival 2010. She is the originator and the artistic director of the renowned festival Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night taking place every year in Nashville, U.S.A. The founder of the charity Music for Life Alliance that provides aid support to talented children, Muriel Anderson is the first woman to have won the first prize at the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship, the greatest guitar competition in the U.S.A.
