Officially inaugurated the new premises of the Tourist Information Centre in Rijeka

With a programme prepared for the occasion, the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka marked the inauguration of the new head office of the Tourist Information Centre located at the new address: Korzo 14. On this occasion, the travel agency “Atlas” presented a new brochure dedicated to Rijeka as a destination of urban tourism.

Margarita Maruškić, Vojko Obersnel, Nina Simčić, Mastro Toni and Petar Škarpa Last year the Tourist Information Centre, at the former address, was visited by about 80,000 visitors, out of which some 70,000 tourists, in search of tourist information or tickets for numerous events. In the new premises, Rijeka souvenirs and tourist brochures are much better presented, so that information on the tourist offer will be provided in a more comfortable and quality manner.

The ribbon of the new premises was solemnly cut by the city mayor during the Carnival, maestro Toni, accompanied by the newly elected Carnival Queen Nina Simčić. In the meantime, the mayor of Rijeka "on holiday" Vojko Obersnel tried his skills as an information officer at the TIC.

City mayor during the Carnival, Master Toni solemnly cut the ribbon of the new premises, accompanied by the newly elected Carnival Queen Nina Simčić The Tourist Information Centre is available for foreign and domestic tourists and the citizens of Rijeka providing detailed information about the City, various brochures, guide books, as well as other information materials. Furthermore, tickets can be bought here for various events taking place in the city. The Tourist Information Centre also offers a possibility to buy souvenirs bearing a mark “Authentic Rijeka Souvenir” and “Special Quality”. These products, owing to their basic characteristics meet high criteria and are specific for the city of Rijeka.

The new head offices of the Tourist Information Centre of the City of Rijeka Travel agency Atlas, presented on this occasion its new brochures dedicated to Rijeka, placing Rijeka as an independent destination for longer tourist stays. "The new brochure has been published in five languages – Croatian, English, German, Italian and Spanish, and is a result of an increased interest shown in Rijeka as a tourist destination by foreign markets. This is also supported by an ever-growing number of various events throughout the year, an increased number of flights from abroad, as well as by the fact that the overall tourist offer of Rijeka witnesses a permanent growth.
