Platak is awaiting the European ski racing elite

It is expected that in Adriatic Slalom, European FIS Cup male ski race, to be held on 7 March on the ski course Platak about one hundred slalom racers would compete, including some of the best European skiers. The organisers invite ski lovers to come to Platak and enjoy the greatest sports manifestation that Platak and the Primorje - Gorski Kotar County have had an opportunity to host so far.

Davor Štimac, Veljko Karabaić, Vidoje Vujić and Nikola Androšević The traditional ski racing Adriatic Slalom has been included in the official calendar of the European FIS Cup, which proves the confidence shown by FIS in Croatian skiing and in the organisation of ski competitions.
The public draw of starting numbers and a concert by "Neno Belan & Fiumensi" will take place on Korzo, Saturday, 6 March at 7:00 p.m. The company "Autotrolej" will provide the services of free transport from Delta and Grobnik for all the spectators who have the ticket. The organisation of the race goes according to plan. In regard to previous years, this year an additional course Radeševo II has been prepared at Platak which will serve only for preparations. This week-end a FIS delegation should inspect the course.

Platko – mascot of Adriatic Slalom About one hundred European slalom racers have been announced to come to Platak, and the visitors should enjoy the racing of the Sljeme ski race winner, Italian Razzoli and Swede Byggmark, but only after the closure of the Vancouver Winter Olympics it will be possible to know exactly who would join the competition at Platak.

The competition is scheduled for 7 March and the start of the first race at 10:00 a.m. while the second race is scheduled for 01:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale starting from 25 February on Korzo and will be available at the Tourist Information Centre on Korzo, at the tourist offices at Čavle, Delnice and Opatija, and the NES shop at the Tower Centre Rijeka.

Autotrolej will enable the spectators free transport to Platak. The arrival is organised from Delta, on Sunday, 7 March at 8:00 a.m. and from Grobnik starting from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The organised return of spectators to Delta will be possible starting from 2:30 p.m. For those who do not want to use the services of free transport, it will be possible to buy a car pass which costs HRK 90, allowing to reach Platak starting from 8:00 a.m. on.
