Expedition “Caucasus 12” will be led by Vitomir Maričić, and will include the following members Zoran Nebić and Rijeka students Sandro Erceg, Kristina Ribarić, Goran Matošević, Boris Zupčić and Marino Petretić. They will sojourn in Russia from 17 to 31 July of the current year, with the aim of conquering two Europe’s highest peaks. The specific of the ascent is in the fact that the expedition did not choose the standard southern or northern route, but a direct line towards the eastern peak. Once the eastern peak has been conquered, the expedition will descend to the saddle to ascend again towards the western peak and the crater.

The project’s sporting challenge is in the harsh climate and the ascent itself to a height of over 5.600 metres where breathing and movement are much aggravated.

Encouraged by the success achieved with their documentary film “Kilimanjaro Africa”, this time again the mountaineers and explorers will shoot materials and will present a documentary film about the adventure called ,,Caucasus 12" to the public.
