Project Goal:

The implementation of energy renovation measures and use of renewable energy sources in public buildings that will result in reduced heating/cooling energy consumption owing to an integrated approach.

Energy renovation

Key activities:

This Call supports energy renovation measures that will result in reduced heating/cooling energy consumption (QH,nd) annually (kWh/yr) of at least 50% with regard to annual heating/cooling energy consumption before implementing the mentioned measures and use of renewable energy sources.

The City of Rijeka has signed Contracts for the allocation of grants for 6 buildings relating to the following works:

  • ES (elementary school) Eugen Kumičić – ETICS facade system, thermal insulation of the roof above a heated space, replacement of external joinery, improvement of the existing heating system, modernising the lighting system, building in a remote meter-reading system,
  • ES Gornja Vežica – ETICS facade system, thermal insulation of the roof above a heated space, replacement of external joinery, improvement of the existing heating system, modernising the lighting system,
  • ES Pehlin – ETICS facade system, thermal insulation of the ceiling towards the unheated attic, replacement of external joinery, improvement of the existing heating system, boiler gasification, modernising the lighting system, building in a remote meter-reading system,
  • PPO Belveder – thermal insulation of the external wall, thermal insulation of the roof above a heated space, replacement of external joinery, improvement of the existing heating system, building in a remote meter-reading system,
  • PPO Vidrice – thermal insulation of the external wall, thermal insulation of the roof above a heated space, thermal insulation of the ceiling towards an unheated space, replacement of external joinery, improvement of the existing heating system, building in a remote meter-reading system,
  • Rijeka Civic Museum– thermal insulation of the roof, external joinery

The realisation of the mentioned projects will result in reduced energy consumption in public buildings, and will also help create a more favourable microclimate for work, it will extend the building’s duration, reduce the building’s maintenance costs, reduce the financing of energy consumption expenses, reduce energy consumption, reduce CO emissions, and will contribute to economic development in the amount of mentioned investments.
