  • defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka in 2012
  • defended his master thesis at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka in 1992
  • passed his specialist examination in Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka in 1986

  • the first president of RDS (RDS in 1990), later on the president of PGS.
  • served several terms of office as a Rijeka City Council councillor
