With the online programme ECoC, ciao, ciao, ciao! held in the premises of Export in the area of Delta in Rijeka on Friday, 30 April 2021, that could be followed online on the YouTube channel of Kanal Ri and via the website www.rijeka2020.eu and live in the TV programme of Kanal Ri, the programme part of the project Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture was concluded.

The programme was followed by almost two thousand viewers via the YouTube channel, but we should add the viewers of the Ri Channel, i.e. those who followed the programme on the project website.
During the programme that lasted more than four hours, Rijeka bands took turns on the stage – The SIIDS, My BuddyMoose, Boris Štok, En Face, Grad, Neno Belan & Fiumens and Let 3, and in the breaks between performances, programme presenters Lena Stojiljković and Dražen Zima talked with the actors of the ECoC project, organisers, artists and representatives of some partner institutions, and they all recalled some important aspects of the European Capital of Culture project as well as many realised programmes that took place during 2020 and the first four months of 2021 during which the title of Rijeka and Galway was extended due to the pandemic, recalling also all that happened in the years of preparation of Rijeka for taking over the title of European Capital of Culture.
Asja Brusić, Amra Ramić and Emina Bašić shared their experiences in the development and implementation of volunteering programmes in the field of culture, Jelena Milić, Zoran Krušvar and Magdalena Lupi Alvir talked more about the Toboggan programme that had grown into the Children’s House, while Ivona Milos, Vesna Lokas and Petar Mamula spoke about the programmes that had activated civic initiatives and awakened life in small neighbourhood communities. Artists Katarina Kožul, Kristina Barišić and Bernard Koludrović spoke about art that had found its place in public spaces on the map of Kvarner and on the facades of buildings in the form of murals, while Iva Kelentrić and Morana Matković said something more about permanent sculptures due to which many world artists had arrived in Kvarner and they also said something about top contemporary art programmes. Zoran Majstorović and Jelena Tondini reminded the audience of the Porto Ethno Festival, while Ivan Šarar and Vojko Obersnel reflected on the cultural buildings that were built in Rijeka as part of the European Capital of Culture project. Tanja Kalčić and Snježana Prijić Samaržija spoke about educational programmes, as well as, the university studies resulting from the ECOC project.
With the on line program ECOC, ciao,ciao,ciao! the programme part of the European Capital of Culture project was symbolically concluded, but it should be noted that overall communication about the ECOC project will not end with this. The final press conferences is yet to come, summarising the results and many more discussions on the legacy of this valuable project that remains to Rijeka and all its citizens in the years to come.
