The Student International Film Festival (STIFF) is the first international festival that features exclusively student films and videos. Launched as a joint production of the  Student Cultural Centre of the University of Rijeka in cooperation with the association  Filmaktiv  – its goal is to present to students and to a local audience the best movies from the student international film production. The long-term goal of the STIFF film festival is to strengthen the local film and video industry by providing and insight into the works of other filmmakers, encourage the development of new ideas and develop international cooperation in the field of media production.
