The service “Library at your doorstep” provided by Rijeka Civic Library represents the delivery of books at the client’s home address, and is dedicated to third agers and disabled people having residence in the territory of the city of Rijeka, who due to limited or impeded mobility are not able to visit the Library by themselves.

At branch  Zamet of Rijeka Civic Library  blind and visually impaired people can use equipment free of charge that the Library has received as a donation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, PC-s with a speech unit and a screen reader and a CD/DAISY player.

The first Croatian specialised library for visually impaired children was inaugurated in 2008, in ES Pećine, within which operates the Department for the visually impaired children.
