The City of Rijeka entirely or partially settles the costs of treatment and admission to the psychiatric hospital as long as this person needs it.

Assistance beneficiaries who realise regular monthly income, shall take part in costs settlement. The beneficiaries that live alone take part in costs settlement in the amount of 80% of their monthly income, beneficiaries who have family members with whom they live in a common household in the amount 40% of their monthly income, and beneficiaries who have family members with whom they live in a common household and are maintained exclusively by their income, in the amount of 20% of their monthly income. The amount of assistance is determined every year in a conclusion to be adopted by the mayor of the City of Rijeka.
