In breastfeeding support groups, mothers who have breastfeeding experience help those who are inexperienced, and other breastfeeding mothers who need assistance, advice and support to persist with breastfeeding time.

The main objective is to persist in breastfeeding until the end of the child’s first year of life. The groups meet once a month for an hour, while visiting pediatric nurses included in the group have the role as moderators and supervisors of the group activity.
