The Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) of the city of Rijeka has been harmonised with the EU Strategy 20x20x20.

By signing the Covenant of Mayors in February 2009, the City of Rijeka took over the sustainable development initiative which goals and priorities include environmental protection as outline in the main urban

planning documents.
