The Croatian Olympic Day is a unique title of the national sports manifestation, celebrated on 10 September, the date when the Croatian Olympic Committee was established. The project aims to encourage citizens of all ages, in particular children and young, to practice sports actively.

The celebration of the Croatian Olympic Day, which in Rijeka in recent years has included demonstration of Olympic and other sports, takes place at the beginning of the school year, at the time when children, with support from their parents, choose which sport to pursue.

Ever since the beginning, i.e. since 2007, the City of Rijeka has been included in the celebration of the Croatian Olympic Day in cooperation with the Rijeka Sports Federation and the Sports Community of the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County.
