Issuing orders and fixing fee rates payable for medium and heavy vehicles that excessively use an unclassified road.

Excessive use of unclassified roads is temporary or permanent increase in transport of medium and heavy vehicles on a road or its part, generated as a consequence of exploiting mineral raw materials, woodcutting, industrial production, performing construction works and similar activities.

A legal entity or a natural person which performance of economic activity leads to excessive use of an unclassified road by medium and heavy vehicles shall pay a fee for excessive use of that unclassified road.

The term medium and heavy vehicles shall mean vehicles with a total mass exceeding 7.5 tons. The activity which performance leads to excessive use of an unclassified road and criteria for establishing the excessive use of an unclassified road shall be determined in accordance with the act that regulates roads.

The City of Rijeka shall perform on the spot inspection to determine damages caused by excessive use of unclassified roads and shall draw up minutes.

Works in order to return the unclassified road in the state in which it was prior to damages caused by excessive use of the unclassified road are performed by  Rijeka promet, at the expense of the legal entity or natural person whose vehicle has damaged the road.

The fee rate for excessive use of unclassified roads is fixed by the Conclusion to be adopted by the Mayor. .

An order relating to excessive use of unclassified roads is brought in by the  Utility Services Department.
