The City of Rijeka publishes biannually invitations to tender in order to make available the funds collected on behalf of the monument annuity and other budgetary income of the City of Rijeka, earmarked to co-finance the implementation of the Restoration and Repair Programme relating to facades and roofs.<\/p>\n

The Restoration and Repair Programme relating to facades and roofs within the protected Urban Complex of the city of Rijeka provides a possibility to owners and co-owners of buildings individually registered as cultural heritage and buildings within the protected Urban Complex of the city of Rijeka to present their programme proposals in response to the Invitation to tender and thus realise the right to the co-financing of programme implementation up to a percentage determined in accordance with special criteria. Buildings located within A zone (priority zone) or buildings that are individually registered as cultural heritage are financed in the amount of 50%, while the restoration of buildings located within B or C zones are co-financed in the amount of 40%. The Programme is implemented in accordance with the established Priority List, while the number of programmes to be co-financed depends on available city funds.<\/p>\n

Since 2014, there has been a possibility that the remaining amount of costs relating to repair works to be carried out, in addition to the common reserve fund and loans granted by commercial banks, be financed from the funds intended to improve energy efficiency in housing construction through tenders published by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.<\/p>\n

Since 2006, when the first invitation was published, inviting the owners of buildings within the protected Urban Complex of the city of Rijeka and buildings individually registered as cultural heritage, many facades and roofs of buildings have been renewed.<\/p>\n\n
