The financial assistance is paid into respective bank current accounts.<\/p>\n<h2>Who can receive assistance?<\/h2>\n<p>Regular secondary school students\/ university students\u00a0who achieve the right to a personal disability allowance or an attendance allowance provided by the Social Welfare Centre Rijeka, pupils\/students having a status of a child of a deceased, imprisoned or missing Croatian defender during the Homeland War or pupils\/students living in a household that is a beneficiary of a minimum guarantee compensation provided by the Social Welfare Centre Rijeka.<\/p>\n<h2>How to realise assistance?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to get this subsidy, requests should be submitted in writing to the Department of Health and Social Welfare, City of Rijeka, \u00a0at the address: Korzo 16, or at the counter hall of the City of Rijeka, at the address: Titov trg 3, counters no. 4 and 5, \u00a0on working days from 8.30 to 15.30.<\/p>\n<p>Through e-Adviser, social programme of the City of Rijeka, citizens may get to know whether they can become beneficiaries of any type of assistance and how to obtain such rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During secondary and higher education the City of Rijeka grants on an annual basis financial assistance to pupils\/students in the amount of HRK 1,000 (every year the mayor of the City of Rijeka brings in a conclusion whereby determining the amount of assistance) for the purchase of necessary school supplies.
