(7.6%) of indoor facilities, have been registered in the territory of the former commune of Rijeka. After having formed new suburban communes, in the territory of the city of Rijeka (128,735 inhabitants) 187,000 sq.m. of sports areas remained.<\/p>\n<p>Pursuant to the Sports Law, the sports and technical culture facilities owned by the City of Rijeka are managed by the company \u201cRijeka Sport\u201d and the Department of sports and technical culture.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, the management of the most important and biggest facilities was transferred to the newly set up company Rijeka sport which is 100% owned by the City of Rijeka.<\/p>\n<p>Company \u201cRijeka sport\u201d manages the following facilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/objekti\/atletska-dvorana-kantrida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kantrida Sportshall<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/objekti\/atletska-dvorana-kantrida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/bazeni-kantrida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kantrida swimming pools<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/bocarski-centar-podvezica\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Podve\u017eica bocce ball court<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/centar-zamet\">Zamet Sports Centre<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/objekti\/dvorana-dinko-lukari\u0107\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cDinko Lukari\u0107\u201d sportshall<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/dvorana-mladosti\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Youth Hall<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/stadion-kantrida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kantrida stadium<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/nogometno-igraliste-krimeja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cKrimeja\u201d football field<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/nogometno-igraliste-krimeja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/nogometno-igraliste-robert-komen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cRobert Komen\u201d football field<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/otvoreno-igraliste-kampus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Campus outdoor field<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/src-belveder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belveder sport and recreation centre<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/src-mlaka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mlaka sport and recreation centre<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\/hr\/objekti\/src-3-maj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201c3. maj\u201d sport and recreation centre<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Martial arts sports hall Su\u0161ak<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The funds intended to manage and maintain facilities are partly provided by the company \u201cRijeka sport\u201d through its own activity, while the remaining necessary funds are provided in the Budget of the City of Rijeka. In addition to the management and maintenance of the existing facilities, the company \u201cRijeka sport\u201d carries out also the activities that relate to the construction of new sport and technical culture facilities, in accordance with the plans and decisions of its founder. Detailed information on the facilities managed by the company<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rijekasport.hr\"> Rijeka sport <\/a>\u00a0and their adaptation to disabled people is available on the website of Rijeka sport.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining sport and technical culture facilities owned by the City of Rijeka are managed by users in accordance with the signed contracts.\u00a0 As a rule, such facilities relate to one beneficiary, therefore the Department of sports and technical culture every year signs rental agreements with beneficiaries whereby determining the obligations of the beneficiary concerning the use and maintenance of the facilities and the obligations of the Department of sports and technical culture as regards the co-financing of the facilities\u2019 operating costs.
