The owner\/user of a building is obliged to maintain septic and holding tanks so that they are in a good condition and they function correctly.<\/p>\n

Pursuant to the Waters Act of 1 January 2014, the public sewage system includes pumping and removal of waste water from septic and holding tanks which means that the services of cleaning of septic and holding tanks in the territory of Rijeka are provided by utility company \u201cVodovod i kanalizacija\u201d.<\/p>\n

The public sewage service comprises waste water accumulation activity, pumping services and removal of waste water from septic and holding tanks and treating of wastewater accumulated in both ways.<\/p>\n

All beneficiaries, irrespective of whether already connected to the public sewage system or not, pay a fixed part of the basic price of waste water treatment, while the beneficiaries whose property items are still not connected to the public sewage system pay the cleaning of septic and holding tanks, once this service has been rendered.<\/p>\n

The service of discharging and removing waste water from septic and holding tanks in the territory of Rijeka is calculated and charged after the service has been rendered at the price of HRK 95.00 per cubic metre of pumped material.<\/p>\n
