Analyses of water sources quality and of its wholesomeness in water supply structures and in the network and disinfection control are the basic measures for the prevention and combat of communicable diseases.<\/p>\n
Examination <\/strong>takes place in a well-equipped internal laboratory of the utility company “Vodovod i kanalizacija” where drinking water from water sources and from the network is analysed on several occasions during the day in accordance with the Act on Water intended for human consumption, further to regular additional examinations carried out by the Educational Institute of Public Health of the Primorje \u2013 Gorki Kotar County.<\/strong><\/p>\n Rijeka water has an exceptional drinking quality owing to its chemical and physical properties and it does not require any treatment except disinfection with chlorine dioxide.
