The implementation of this programme contributes to the preservation and improvement of school children\u2019s health by acquiring necessary knowledge about nutrition and adopting behavioural methods and manners aimed at a healthy life style.<\/p>\n<p>In cooperation with the Educational Public Health Institute and the City of Rijeka, project implementation started in the second educational period of school year 2015\/2016 in grade 5 in ten elementary schools in Rijeka, while in school year 2016\/2017, all the remaining elementary schools were included in the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201cLittle School of Healthy Eating\u201d Programme has been envisaged with the aim of improving nutrition of school children by adopting proper eating habits and preserving health by introducing healthy meals in organised school meals as well as by educating children and their teachers.
