The exhibition space beneath the temple \u201cPeace of Heroes\u201d has been enriched with new interpretative contents that enable the visitor to experience and get to know the castle in a completely new way owing to innovative technology. The exhibition is divided into three parts that are conceptually connected, but they offer partially different interpretative experiences. The first chamber is an initial incubation experience and at the same time it prepares visitors for further exploration of the castle. An interactive screen allows the visitor to explore the Castle through 3D views of the historical development of construction. The second chamber introduces visitors to the interesting features of Trsat castle and prepares them for the third chamber, that is, count Laval Nugent, who through an educational video presents Trsat castle to the visitor from perspectives that cannot be experienced through space and time.<\/p>\n

In addition to the crypt area, Trsat Castle can also be explored via a mobile application that guides the visitor through twelve interpretation points. Each point reveals a new layer of Trsat castle and not so well-known facts about the area itself. The application works on the principle of beacon technology, that is, it sends information to the visitor directly to the mobile device when arriving at a certain point.<\/p>\n
For those who want to explore the castle from one place, the digital info kiosk enables the visitor to take a virtual stroll around Trsat Castle.<\/p>\n
Visits to the exhibition space and the virtual tourist guide are free of charge, and they were created within the EMOUNDERGROUNDS project – “EMOtional technologies for the cultural heritage valorisation within transnational UNDERGROUNDS”, co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund, within the framework programme Interreg V-B Adriatic-Ionian cooperation programme ADRION 2014-2020.<\/p>\n
