The City of Rijeka was represented by Karla Mu\u0161kovi\u0107, head of the Department of Health and Social Welfare and co-ordinator of the \u201cRijeka \u2013 Healthy City\u201d project and Jadran Mandeki\u0107, manager of the \u201cRijeka \u2013 Healthy City\u201d project.<\/p>\n

During the conference the City of Rijeka presented its projects \u201cThe Society in Which I Learn and Feel Good\u201d and \u201cRijeka in Movement\u201c. The activities of the project \u201cThe Society in Which I Learn and Feel Good\u201d were initiated in 2005, aiming to integrate older people into society by using information technology. The activities include: organising\u00a0 free IT courses, providing facilities and equipment, setting up and maintaining the website dedicated to third agers http:\/\/penzici.rijeka.hr<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The campaign titled \u201cRijeka in Movement\u201c has been continuously organised ever since 2011 and it includes a number of activities and events aimed at promoting physical activities and healthy lifestyles. Reaction from the attendees to the presentations was very positive, and the projects were recognised as innovative examples of good practices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

The representative of the City of Rijeka took part in the annual meeting of the WHO European Healthy Cities Network held in the Hungarian city of Pecs.
