The Department of Local Self-Government and Administration carries out activities relating to citizens direct participation in decision-making on the local activities that directly affect their daily life and work and activities relating to legal and labour relations of public servants employed with the administrative bodies of the City, the Public Fire-fighting Brigade of the City of Rijeka, the Subsidised Housing Agency of the City of Rijeka and the children’s house “Tić”.

Moreover, the following activities are also carried out at the Department: clerical tasks and mail office activities, management of shelters, activities relating to occupational safety and fire-fighting in the buildings that host the City’s administrative bodies and institutions founded by the City, as well as, protection and rescue activities.
