The Department of Property Management performs the activities that include the management, registration, acquisition, alienation, construction, maintenance, hiring, leasing, conceding to manage and use all the facilities of public, business and residential purposes owned by the City of Rijeka and the activities whereby granting concessions for performing the utility activities of chimney-sweeping.

Moreover, the Department is in charge of keeping the registers of lessors, lessees and rental fees in the territory of the City of Rijeka, keeping the registers of flats and business premises in the territory of the City of Rijeka, keeping the registers relating to the management of residential buildings in the territory of the City of Rijeka (administrators of residential and business buildings, common reserve fund rates of the buildings situated in the territory of the City of Rijeka etc.).

This Department keeps, implements and updates the IT system eNekretnine (eReal estate) where data and documentation are kept about the transaction value of real property items in the territory of the city of Rijeka

The Department co-ordinates its activities and provides necessary resources and support to enable a regular operation of the Agency for subsidised residential construction of the City of Rijeka.

Furthermore, the Department carries out the activities of systematic energy management in the buildings owned by the City of Rijeka, activities relating to preparation and implementation of energy certification of the facilities owned by the City of Rijeka, as well as the activities whereby proposing energy efficiency measures in the facilities owned by the City of Rijeka and measures aimed at using renewable energy sources.
