Institutions and associations in the territory of the city of Rijeka carry out activities with the aim of promoting a safe and responsible manner of using the internet and mobile phones, in particular among the child and youth population.
• Workshops on safety on the Internet for children and parents are implemented by the Centre of technical culture Rijeka.

Protection of children and youth
The rights of children and youth in Rijeka and Croatia, in addition to institutions, are also protected through numerous associations.
The ombudsman for children promotes the rights and interests of children in Croatia, and also follows the application of all regulations pertaining to the protection of the rights and interests of children, as well as violations of single rights of children and general phenomena and the manners in which the rights and interests or children are violated.
