We have long hesitated whether to organize a New Year’s Eve on Korzo. I am glad to be able to announce that Neno Belan and the band Fiumens will introduce us to the New Year with their concert, of course, all in accordance with the anti-pandemic measures in force,” said Mayor Filipovic, adding that the location of the stage is still being considered.

A record number of Advent stalls at the Holiday Fair in Rijeka downtown

The traditional Holiday Fair, on Korzo and in Republika Hrvatska Sq. at as many as 26 Advent stalls will present an offer of special products, decorations and a handful of ideas for the most beautiful Christmas gifts as well as hot and cold desserts and snacks.

Verdi Street is a new Advent location, along which 8 young local restaurateurs will spice up the Advent gastronomic scene in Rijeka, aiming to raising street food, in the Advent edition, to a new level.

The novelty of this year’s Advent are three points in downtown Rijeka where specially designed decorative installations will be available – Photo Points, which will serve as the most beautiful scenery for Advent photography.

Free winter card for all visitors sojourning for two or more nights in Rijeka

The Winter Pass project will enable all tourists sojourning in the city for two or more nights to see the city’s attractions for free.

The Winter Pass includes free admission to all premises of the Rijeka Civic Museum, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Natural History Museum of Rijeka, Maritime and Historical Museum of the Croatian Littoral, JGL Museum of Pharmacy, permanent exhibition of the Trsat Castle, Peek & Poke Museum of Childhood and Museum of Informatics, Rijeka Astronomy Centre and the Kantrida Swimming Pool Complex.

The ice rink Morska pahuljica (Sea Snowflake) opens its doors with free skating

The ice rink Morska Pahuljica on the waterfront of Rijeka will once again gather adults and children who want to spend their time on ice.

Citizens will have access to appointments in the afternoon on weekdays from 4 pm to 10 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 10 pm.

Advent at the Trsat Castle will be inaugurated on Sunday, November 28, at 6 pm, with the lighting of Christmas lights. In addition to the nativity scene at the Trsat Castle, this year the most picturesque Christmas nativity scene can be found in the Capuchin church with a life-size display.
