The Administrative department of the economy, development, ecology and EU projects carries out the following activities:
activities relating to the creation of a favourable entrepreneurial environment that would encourage small and medium-sized businesses through the development of a direct and indirect support system, improving entrepreneurial infrastructure and entrepreneurial abilities, and promoting entrepreneurship
planning, implementing and coordinating projects and activities aimed at encouraging economic development, innovation and entrepreneurship
coordinating projects preparation and implementation, financed under the EU funds and providing support in submitting reports
encouraging energy efficiency through the promotion of green industries and support for the sustainable development of small businesses
organising and managing the creation of documents relating to the protection and improvement in the environmental status and sustainable development, as well as environmental impact assessments of interventions carried out by the City
encouraging the development of tourism through the support and coordination of projects, activities and events of importance for the development of the city as a tourist destination and improving the tourist offer
preparing, drafting and monitoring the implementation of strategic planning acts of the City
monitoring the work of supporting institutions and companies owned by the City whose function is to encourage the development of entrepreneurship, innovation and the local economy
other tasks within the scope of their activity determined by special laws, other regulations and decisions taken by the mayor and the City Council.

Sustainable development and european projects Division, carries out the tasks relating to sustainable development and energy efficiency, activities of organising and managing the creation of documents relating to the protection and improvement in the environmental status and sustainable development, as well as environmental impact assessments of interventions carried out by the City, tasks of preparing, drafting and monitoring the implementation of strategic planning acts of the City, as well as preparing and implementing projects falling within the competence of the Administrative Body/financed under the EU funds and coordinating project preparation and implementation, financed under the EU funds and providing support in submitting reports on the projects promoted by the City.
