The traditional Santa’s train in Rijeka will ride during the holiday season and the first half of January next year from Ban Josip Jelačić sq., along the Corso, to Jadran sq. and back.
Timetable:
Monday – Friday 10.00 – 13.00, reserved for kindergartens
Monday – Friday 16-19, free rides
Saturday – Sunday 10 – 13 and 16 – 19, free rides
“Due to immediate obligations at the North Pole, Santa Claus arrived this year in Rijeka with his train a few days late, more precisely on 11 December instead of announced 5 December”, this has been communicated by the Tourist Board of the city of Rijeka.
It is the only train in Croatia that offers free rides to children and their parents, unlike the trains in Zagreb, Split and Osijek, since the costs are covered by the City of Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and numerous sponsors.
The train will ride until 16 January 2022, with the exception of 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January.
