During secondary and higher education the City of Rijeka grants on an annual basis financial assistance to pupils/students in the amount of HRK 1,000 (every year the mayor of the City of Rijeka brings in a conclusion whereby determining the amount of assistance) for the purchase of necessary school supplies. The financial assistance is paid into respective bank current accounts.

Who can receive assistance?

Regular secondary school students/ university students who achieve the right to a personal disability allowance or an attendance allowance provided by the Social Welfare Centre Rijeka, pupils/students having a status of a child of a deceased, imprisoned or missing Croatian defender during the Homeland War or pupils/students living in a household that is a beneficiary of a minimum guarantee compensation provided by the Social Welfare Centre Rijeka.

How to realise assistance?

In order to get this subsidy, requests should be submitted in writing to the Department of Health and Social Welfare, City of Rijeka,  at the address: Korzo 16, or at the counter hall of the City of Rijeka, at the address: Titov trg 3, counters no. 4 and 5,  on working days from 8.30 to 15.30.
