“YUFE Townhall conferences are important, both for a retrospective view of what has been achieved in our alliance, and for considering future steps. Through the international exchange of ideas and receiving input from all our stakeholders, we wish to develop our influence on strengthening the European Higher Education Area, but also European society as a whole. Our parterres in Rijeka provide intensive support to the YUFE alliance and we much appreciate it! We believe that the European universities should become a catalyst for change, because we all look forward to a peaceful and prosperous world”, said director Trani.

Deputy Mayor Sandra Krpan welcomed the conference participants.

This type of exchange and meeting, that includes the exchange of knowledge and experience of all participants, certainly contributes to the progress and development of cooperation in the field of youth policies and the connection of universities with communities, through the cooperation of higher education institutions and the public, the private sector and citizens across Europe, said the deputy the mayor Krpan.

The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) alliance brings together all YUFE partners, including students, employees and external stakeholders. This year, YUFE Townhall will be dedicated to the topics such as the achieved results, innovations and contribution of the European Universities to its stakeholders.

YUFE Townhall is the largest YUFE annual event with the aim of gathering all YUFE stakeholders – internal and external – to discuss issues of mutual importance, outcomes and results of YUFE, and future plans for the development of the European Universities Initiative.
