The EU project “Stori po svoju” is drawing to an end, which, with the aim of developing STEAM education for children and young people, included more than 700 participants through about 90 programmes held in Rijeka, Kostrena and Kraljevica.

Educational workshops were organised in five areas: culture, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, personal and professional development and STEAM. The workshops were divided into two cycles, the first of which began at the end of 2021, and the second one in April 2022.

Some of the workshops that have been realised with training partners are robotics, 3D modelling, digital photography, graphic design, comics making workshop, digital animation, drums, guitar, music therapy, digital waste…

The largest number of participants, as many as 70 of them, joined an interesting educational Hackathon competition, where teams solved detected problems of the local community.

The last workshops were closed in December 2022 and January 2023. The workshops of the project “Stori po svoju” were orgsnised by the Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka, SOS Rijeka – centre for non-violence and human rights, – Association for the Development of Civil Society SMART, Association Ri Rock and Lean Startup, selected in public tenders.

The applicant and project promoter is the Municipality of Kostrena, and the partners are the City of Rijeka, the City of Kraljevica and the Centre of Culture Kostrena. The project is 100% financed under the European Social Fund, Operational Program Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020, with funds obtained through the Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) Mechanism within the Rijeka Urban Agglomeration. The project life was from February 2021 to February 2023.

The final project conference will be held on 21February in the premises of the Municipality of Kostrena.
