With the final conference held in Kostrena, the EU project “Stori po svoju” was brought to an end, intended for the education of children and young people up to the age of 29 in the fields of culture, entrepreneurship, sustainable, personal and professional development as well as STEAM.

The applicant and promoter of the project “Stori po svoju” was the Municipality of Kostrena, and the partners were the City of Rijeka, the City of Kraljevica and the Centre of Culture Kostrena. The project is worth EUR 367,692.61 (HRK 2,770,380). It is 100% financed by grants under the European Social Fund, Operational Programme Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020.

The project “Stori po svoju” started in February 2021 and will be formally concluded on February 23, 2023. It included more than 700 participants from the area of the Rijeka Urban Agglomeration, who through the project had the opportunity to participate in over 90 workshops, 10 mentoring programmes, 4 camps and a Hackathon competition, and join 4 educational trips.

Gifts were given to participants who attended maximum number of programmes

The workshops were divided into two cycles, the first began at the end of 2021, and the second in April 2022, and were held in Kostrena, Rijeka and Kraljevica. The workshops within the project “Stori po svoju” were implemented by the Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka, SOS Rijeka – Centre for Nonviolence and Human Rights, the Association for the Development of Civil Society SMART, Žmergo Association, Ri Rock Association and Lean Startup.

The Municipality of Kostrena is the applicant and project promoter, while the project partners are the City of Rijeka, the City of Kraljevica and the Centre of Culture Kostrena, which took over the organisation and implementation of the activities as well as project visibility. Further to the director of the Centre of Culture Kostrena Borka Reljac, the representative of the City of Kraljevica, Paula Vučković, also participated in the final conference, who emphasised the importance of the project “Stori po svoju”, whose workshops had been attended by about 100 children from Kraljevica and through which they had the opportunity to acquire various creative skills, while realising quality cooperation between the partners,

Diana Kovačić from the association Žmergo Opatija and Zagorka Prce Veseli from the Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka participated in the conference on behalf of the organisers of the activities and workshops, and the event was concluded with gifts given to participants who attended the maximum number of programmes..
