Given the gravity of the current epidemiological situation, the Command invites citizens to follow in a responsible and consistent manner the epidemiological measures prescribed by the national and local civil protection commands, about which they have been informed through the public media.

We appeal to citizens to wear masks in a correct manner, in all open and closed spaces in the city markets, in buses, in shops, as well as in all open spaces where it is not possible to maintain the prescribed distance. This refers, for example, to queues in front of shops, pedestrian crossings or bus stops “, points out the Civil Protection Command of the City of Rijeka.

The Command also reiterates its appeal to citizens to respect the limit on the number of passengers on board public transport buses.

All elderly people are again invited to avoid the use of urban public transport until further notice, which in the territory of the City of Rijeka is carried out by the utility company Autotrolej, especially until 9 am and in other periods of rush-hour traffic.

“The purpose of the measures is to protect the health of all our citizens, especially the most vulnerable among us, but also to enable the functioning of the health system which faces exceptional challenges and efforts.
