Since 2021 the mayor of Rijeka. He has been deputy mayor of the City of Rijeka since 2013 to 2021. 

The mayor is at the disposal of citizens twice a month during afternoon hours, and every day citizens may contact him via several diverse communication channels.

As a rule, the Board of Mayor is held on a weekly basis and it gathers all the heads of the City Administration. During the Board of Mayor meetings, decisions falling within the scope and competence of the mayor are taken publicly, in the presence of the media.

During media conferences the mayor informs the public through the media on various projects and programmes promoted by the city administration and he responds to journalists’ questions.

The mayor submits reports on his activities to the City Council every six months. The end of term of office reports are drawn up on a quadrennial basis.

The candidates who have received at lest 10% of valid votes cast by the total number of voters who have participated in the election process obtain the right to this reimbursement.

From  1948 to date Rijeka was governed by 15 mayors overall.
