Following new trends in opinion polling, gathering experience and views of service users in the destination, the Tourist Board of the city of Rijeka, owing to the Review Booster Pro project, has created a new model for collecting information.

The Review Booster Pro project is aimed at polling target guests who use the services of the Tourist Board in the destination. The idea is to find out the guests’ views in a modern and safe manner and continue to manage the destination and tourist products in a quality manner. This project is a follow up of the research conducted by the Tourist Board of the city of Rijeka for many years, and it now continues, however in an adapted and safe form, due to the situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is yet another activity among many of them carried out by the Tourist Board of the city of Rijeka with the aim of enhancing the quality of tourist products and services, that will contribute to identify offer segments requiring special attention and putting additional efforts in their further development in a more simple manner.

Review Booster Pro is used by scanning the QR code

Review Booster Pro consists of a device that allows users to get destination information immediately or at a time that suits them, enabling them to make comments on the services offered in the destination.

The use of the device is very easy and is adapted to all smartphone users, because information or opinion polling begins by placing your own smartphone on Review Booster Pro.

By using NFC technology or scanning the QR code on the Review Booster Pro device, tourists will be able to appraise in a simple manner the service provided by the Tourist Information Centre on their own mobile phone, fill out a questionnaire on satisfaction with the tourist destination and individual service segments in Rijeka and get additional information about the tourist offer on the website of the Tourist Board of the city of Rijeka as well as follow the profiles of the Tourist Board on social networks.

This opinion polling will be conducted over the next year at the Tourist Information Centre and the Info-Point, as well as, at other points of interest. This method of opinion polling in other locations is enabled owing to the technology used, which does not require any energy source, and will thus be applied on-site in order to conduct guest satisfaction surveys and market analysis during certain events and at tourist hot spots throughout the city.
