The Zamet Centre, a public complex, which in addition to a great hall also hosts a library, the office of the Local Board, many commercial facilities, a square and a garage, was inaugurated in 2009.

The Centre is used in order to organise the most demanding sports hall competitions, concerts, congresses, public lectures and various cultural programmes.

The Zamet Centre is a winner of the prestigious prize awarded by the world’s most popular architecture website ArchDaily. It was proclaimed the best building in the category of sports buildings within the “Building of the Year 2009” competition.

The centre is managed by Rijeka sport, a limited liability company owned by the City of Rijeka.
