Since 2010, within the campaign titled “Solidarity for Vukovar”, the City of Rijeka has been awarding scholarships to students from Vukovar, thus enabling them to continue their academic education in an easier manner.

Every year, the City of Rijeka provides financial resources in its budget for the City of Vukovar, for 10 students, in the amount of HRK 800.00 for every student, for 10 months a year.

The City of Vukovar pays out funds to the chosen students and pursuant to the Decision on awarding scholarships to students and the agreements signed with students, it follows their education during the period in which it awards them scholarships.
