Social welfare service takes care of the implementation of the Social Programme of the City of Rijeka.

The Social Programme of the City of Rijeka has been implemented since 1993 in order to protect additionally the most disadvantaged categories of population: the beneficiaries of single forms of state social welfare, low-income households, pensioners with low income, certain categories of persons with physical or mental disabilities, chronically ill individuals, voluntary blood donors, victims of the Homeland War and members of their families, beneficiaries of children’s allowance and people who have adopted children.
