The project aims to provide a possibility of introducing IT achievements in the work processes of the city administration and services to citizens. The aim is to transfer the best practices of EU municipalities to the countries of Southeast Europe (SEE), thus enabling them integration into the EU municipal network. The project is in line with previous projects under the IST programme such as IST 2000 – I.311 “Smart government”.

The need for this project was identified in the SEEmunIS subproject (SouthEast European Municipal Information Infrastructures, 1999/2000.
