Over two exhibition days, more than 1,700 dogs, 184 different breeds were presented, and the dogs came from as many as 24 countries around the world. The dogs were judged by prominent international judges, and visitors had an opportunity to see some of the rare breeds. This exhibition in Rijeka opens the dog show season in 2023.

The mayor of Rijeka, Marko Filipović, welcomed the participants of the exhibition and wished them good luck in the competition.

“Such events are an exceptional opportunity to raise awareness about dog welfare and improve the quality of life with dogs, as well as an opportunity for owners and their dogs to socialise. However, this is a competition, so let the best win”, said Filipović.

He also praised the Club’s long-term efforts to direct part of the funds generated from exhibitions to humanitarian purposes, which sends a message to the public about the importance of providing care and help to abandoned animals, which, unfortunately, were not lucky enough to experience what it’s like to have the love of their owners and a warm home.

The exhibition is organised under the auspices of the City of Rijeka.
