The visual arts prize “Ivo Kalina” is awarded biannually for the best contemporary art exhibition held during the year in galleries and public premises in the territory of Rijeka.

Ivo Kalina, with his life and creative choices, takes an exceptional place in the visual art of the second half of the 20th century in Croatia. His artworks are included in numerous museums and collections. By setting up the prize that bears his name the City of Rijeka pays attention and respect to the artistic contribution of Ivo Kalina.

The prize consists of a special written acknowledgment and a cash prize in the gross amount of 2.654,46 €.

The prize can be awarded to a domestic or a foreign physical person or a legal entity, for the best independent exhibition or for the author’s exhibition concept.
