This year again Rijeka has been declared the overall winner according to the Composite Index of Digital Readiness of Croatian Cities.

According to Apsolon’s research, Rijeka stands out in particular in the results in the field of Availability and quality of e-Services to citizens, and also in the field of Service Information and Unified Payment Systems, which includes the availability and quality of the service information that cities offer to their residents and presence and possibilities of unified payment services provided by companies and institutions in the territory of the  City of Rijeka and its wider area via the RCC website.

“This is the third time we have received this award, which commits us to continue to be a leader among Croatian cities in developing smart solutions,” said Željko Jurić, head of the Information Technology Department of the City of Rijeka, on the occasion of receiving  the Smart City award.

After the award ceremony at the Westin, Željko Jurić, head of Information Technology Department of the City of Rijeka participated in the central panel ‘Sustainable Cities’ attended also by Nenad Šlibar, Board member and Chief Technical Officer of Telemach, Ivan Radić, Osijek Mayor, Mišel Jakšić, Koprivnica Mayor and Igor Hrast, representative of the city of Krk. The panel was moderated by Marko Biočina, assistant to editor-in-chief for the economy at Jutarnji list.
