The Torpedo Days will be held this Wednesday, 15 December, starting at 1 pm in the Torpedo Production Park. It is a manifestation aimed at promoting new technologies.
The topic will be “The application of smart solutions in various industries”, as a basis that the European Commission emphasised in its new guidelines for a sustainable and innovative economy.
The Torpedo Days programme was announced by Jana Sertić, head of the Department of Entrepreneurship of the City of Rijeka, Dario Zorić, director of the Rijeka Development Agency “Porin”, Doris Sošić, head of Europe Direct Rijeka and Mateo Starčević Filipović, director of BrightDock & Huuk.
The manifestation will be attended by representatives of the public and private sectors who will have an opportunity to express their views on the needs and opportunities for development by applying smart solutions in various industries for Industry 4.0.
The Torpedo Days programme was announced by Dario Zorić, director of Porin. We will start with an introductory lecture by Damir Medved, sales manager in the new business areas, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, and the programme will continue with a panel discussion on “The application of smart solutions in various industries” with Damir Medved, Luka Bracanovic from E-glass, Igor Felc, founder of REEV Electric and Mateo Starčević Filipović, director of BrightDock & Huuk. Following this, the participants will have an opportunity to visit the Torpedo Production Park and see a demonstration of industrial equipment for additive technology, namely 3D printing, scanning and modelling, “said Zoric, adding that the Torpedo days would like to hold this manifestation a couple of times a year in order to promote new technologies.
Jana Sertić, head of the Department of Entrepreneurship pointed out that the City of Rijeka supported numerous activities aimed at the development of entrepreneurship based on the development of new technologies. “In its plan for the development of the economy in the coming period, the City of Rijeka has opted for a path based on the development of innovations and new technologies,” said Sertić.
The Torpedo Days programme is free of charge for all interested parties, however it is necessary to have a valid COVID certificate.
The organisers of the manifestation are the City of Rijeka, Department of Entrepreneurship, the Rijeka Development Agency “Porin” and Europe Direct Rijeka.
