Importance of the project
Step2 is a revitalization project of existing industrial, scientific and social resources in order to create the conditions for attracting foreign technology companies and creating new knowledge-based jobs.
The objectives of the project are to:
- create the conditions for new jobs,
- attract foreign companies that use advanced technologies,
- encourage and accelerate the development of national advanced technology companies,
- change the technological fulcrum of the Rijeka economy and of its surroundings.
The Step2 project aims to create the conditions for the creation of additional 6,000 jobs in a sector based on knowledge and new technologies.
The project involves construction
Construction / reconstruction of a potential business building with a flexibly organised space:
- office and laboratory spaces integrated into a functional unit with educational and common spaces,
- conference, educational and presentation spaces and common meeting rooms and rooms for catering services,
- utility infrastructure and the required number of parking spaces outdoors or inside garages.
