In accordance with Article 161 of the Rules of Procedure of the Rijeka City Council, (“Official Gazette” of the Primorje – Gorski Kotar County No 29/09), the sessions of the Rijeka City Council are public.

Citizens and three representatives of interested legal entities are entitled to attend a Council session.

Citizens and legal entities shall announce their presence and the presence of their representatives in writing at least three days before holding the session.

A letter in writing shall be sent by mail at the address Gradsko vijeće, Korzo 16, or by email at the address gradsko-vijece@rijeka.hr, or by using a form.

 

The Council president may limit the number of citizens that attend the session  due to spatial conditions and to hold order during the session.

The spatial conditions of the Rijeka City Hall enable simultaneous presence of up to 10 persons.

The persons who are granted permission by the Council president to attend a session, may attend the session after presenting their ID cards or other identification documents.

In the event that a larger number of citizens has applied, the Council president will take into consideration the sequence of applications and will issue a permission to attend the session with regard to that sequence. Citizens who cannot attend a session of the City Council have a possibility to watch City Council sessions via the city’s website which offers live streaming.
